Art That Gives Back

My photographs are made in wilderness areas, national forests, national parks and other public lands throughout the American West.

These places are more than the subjects of my work. They are the reason the work exists.

As a member of 1% for the Planet, I commit at least 1% of annual sales from my photography business to approved environmental organizations.

These contributions support efforts to conserve wilderness, protect public lands, restore ecosystems, and preserve the landscapes that inspire my photographs.

Protecting the Places Behind the Photographs

Landscape photography depends on healthy ecosystems, protected public lands, and responsible access to the outdoors.

I believe those of us who build our lives and businesses around the natural world have a responsibility to contribute to its future.

My membership in 1% for the Planet is one way I am putting that belief into practice. Each print begins with a place. Each purchase helps support the work of protecting places like it.

Your Print Purchase Makes a Difference

When you purchase a fine-art print, part of that sale supports environmental work.

Your purchase helps fund organizations working to protect natural places from habitat loss, development, environmental degradation, and other growing pressures.

It allows the photographs to do more than represent the landscape. They also contribute to its continued protection.

Collecting art is a way of bringing a meaningful place into your home. Through this commitment, it can also become a way of giving something back to the land itself.

About 1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet was founded in 2002 by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard and Blue Ribbon Flies owner Craig Mathews. They created the organization around a simple idea: businesses that benefit from the natural world should help protect it.
